Mineral Feed

All of our minerals are manufactured in our mill at our base in Bandon. Our mineral range takes all types of cattle into consideration. All our minerals come in 25kg bags. Take a look at our updated 2014 range below;

SWEETOOTH

This is our specific High Magnesium Mineral, to aid in the prevention of grass tetany.

PRE-CALVER HI-MAG HI-TRACE

Basic pre-calver mineral with Zero Phosphorus and 15% Magnesium, plus Trace Elements and Vitamins. This is one of our two traditional pre-calver minerals.

PRE-CALVER STANDARD

Pre-calver mineral with 4% Phosphorus, 15% Magnesium, plus Trace Elements and Vitamins. This is our primary traditional pre-calver mineral.

PRE-CALVER PLUS

This was the first of our two new pre-calver minerals for 2012. This mineral features an enhanced level of Vitamins over our traditional mixes, and also has a higher Magnesium level of 20%, with a Phosphorus level of 3%.

PRE-CALVER HIGH SPEC

This was the second of our new 2012 pre-calver minerals, featuring a high overall specification. It features the same Vitamin levels as the ‘Pre-Calver Plus’, and again with a Magnesium level of 20%, but with a higher level of Phosphorus of 4%. This mineral also features a higher overall level of Zinc, with 25% in Chelated form, 28.6% of total Copper in Chelated form, and 10% of total Selenium in Organic form.

HIGH PHOS CATTLE

This is our traditional High Phosphate Mineral, with 8% Phosphorus, 16% Calcium, plus Trace Elements and Vitamins. This is our main Beef Cattle Mineral, and is also an ideal Post Calving Mineral if feeding dairy ration with Magnesium. If not feeding dairy ration with Magnesium, then add ‘Sweetooth’ in with ‘High Phos’ for cows.

MAIZE BEET CATTLE

This is a high phosphate mineral specifically formulated to compliment a maize or beet based diet, for both beef animals and also cows post calving.

INTENSIVE BEEF WITH BUFFER

This mineral is specifically formulated for beef cattle on intensive fattening diets. It contains 2% Phosphorus, 17% Calcium, Trace Elements, including 25% Chelated Zinc and Copper, Vitamins, and also 33% Sodium Bicarbonate to act as a buffer. This mineral is not suitable for cows before calving, as feeding Sodium Bicarbonate to cows before calving can lead to milk fever and also still births.

GLENSIDE’S SEAQUIM ELITE

We also supply Glenside’s seaweed extract mineral SEAQUIM ELITE which is a totally natural multi mineral supplement which boosts the immune system which in turn fights off ringworm. It contains over 60 natually balanced chelated minerals, trace elements, amino acids and vitamins all in a easily digestible form.

Boluses

Trace elements such as copper, selenium, magnesium, iodine and zinc are an essential part of a healthy animal, particularly when there’s deficiencies in their feed. Electrolytes

For the prevention of dehydration and essential mineral loss, we have a broad range of electrolytes. Electrolytes are responsible for keeping the body properly hydrated so the muscles and nerves can function properly. Calves and cows should receive different electrolytes and we cater for both.
